Specifically Hodgkins Lymphoma (or Hodgkins Disease)

Ok. Where to start? This disease has grabbed my attention - HARD! My oldest daughter who is now 14, was diagnosed with Stage III Hodgkins Lymphoma on September 8th, 2008 at the ripe old age of 13. Her birthday is on September 22nd which was a day before she started chemotherapy, great birthday present right?

It is currently unknown as to why this type of Cancer happens. I read somewhere that there is debate about whether it may be environmental or genetic - so far, no answers. However, the survival rates seem to be high as well as the "cure" rates. All I can tell you is that it has devastated me. It is difficult for an adult to go through something like this, but for a child who has just reached their most vulnerable teenage years...
